Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to notoriety after she released the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing but A Number in the year 1994. The singer was only 15 at the time and the album went on to become Gold. This collaboration, heavily influential to R. Kelly's musical style, brought her into the spotlight. She collaborated in 1996 with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland to record her follow-up album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah was a well-known R&B artist after her album's release. She appeared alongside the legendary martial artist Jet Li in the 2000 action-romance film Romeo Must Die.
