Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs Avery Sunshine has been a hit all over the world. Sunshine, whose given name has been given as Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing the piano in church. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B music scene. In 2005, Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who had worked on the stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her to be the choir leader of this theatrical production. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing during President Obama's 2009 inauguration.
